What's included in the Free plan?
The core serial terminal: port connection & configuration, data buffer with ASCII/HEX modes, macros (M1–M6), MCU programmer (ESP8266/ESP32/STM32/AVR), logging, themes, and multi-language support. Triggers, Lua scripting, and the AI assistant are available in ProBaud BYOK.
What is ProBaud (BYOK)?
ProBaud (BYOK) — you connect your own AI provider: an OpenRouter API key (one key, hundreds of models) or a locally installed CLI agent — Claude Code or Codex. The app does not accept raw OpenAI or Anthropic API keys directly. You pay your provider; ComIO.Studio does not resell AI credits. The subscription ($3.90/mo, $39/yr, or $99 lifetime) unlocks the AI feature in the app.
Does ProBaud have a free trial?
Yes — the ProBaud (BYOK) plan includes a 7-day free trial. To use the AI during the trial you'll need to set up your provider: an OpenRouter API key, or Claude Code / Codex CLI installed on your machine. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, regular billing begins.
What's the lifetime license?
For $99 one-time, you get permanent access to the ProBaud (BYOK) AI features — no monthly payments. You still connect your own provider (OpenRouter key or Claude Code / Codex CLI) and pay your AI provider directly. The lifetime license may be limited to specific major versions as indicated at purchase.
Can I cancel or change my plan?
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. No long-term contracts.
Do I need an internet connection?
The serial terminal and all core features work completely offline. The AI assistant requires an internet connection when you use an online BYOK provider. Local/offline model support depends on the model you install and your machine.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Payments are planned through Lemon Squeezy for ProBaud BYOK. Public checkout links will be enabled only after final launch approval.
